Conclusion & UBI

Do you also know why a universal basic income (UBI) is moral and why gargantuan income inequality is immoral?

And why is that?

Because Human Beings Do Not Have Free Will

Did you know?

The richest 85 people in the world are as wealthy as the entire bottom half of the world’s population.  The gap between rich and poor is still growing and growing.  With increasing globalization, the potential for extreme wealth is increasing rather than diminishing as is the gap between rich and poor.  Nofreewill.org was created to promote compassionate capitalism and to advocate for a universal basic income because free will is an illusion.  What that means and proves is that gargantuan income inequality is in fact immoral especially once we all understand that free will is an illusion.    Many politicians such as Bernie Sanders and Andrew Yang understand a universal basic income is needed and is the moral and ethical thing to do but they never say WHY that is so.  The website provides the WHY this is so and that reason is because free will is an illusion and all of life is only about luck.

This is the ultimate in truth.

Another Question for you:

Is Free Will overrated or underrated?

This is debatable but is totally irrelevant to the website’s goal.  The mission of www.nofreewill..org is to bring awareness to the fact that determinism is true and that free will is an illusion.  The mission here is not interested in whether or not you would prefer to have free will or not.  We are only interested in what the ultimate truth of life is.  Surely having free will, give us meaning and give us a sense of control over our lives.  I can easily understand that the truth being told to you now (that free will is false and does not exist), could cause you some psychological distress as now you also cannot take full or any partial credit for all the wonderful accomplishments you have made in your lifetime and you also may feel very sad and stressed out to find out that you are not in control of your own life.    However, as children we were always taught honesty is the best policy.  Therefore, it is now time to spread the awareness that free will is an illusion.

Furthermore, some people (American philosopher Dan Dennett) say they are compatibilists meaning they believe free will and determinism are compatible.  Let us now set the record straight about this right now.   Free will and determinism are not compatible.  The two are complete opposite of each other.  Everything must have a cause and is therefore determined.  And if it were to somehow be completely indetermined or some combination of determined and indetermined (how this is possible I do not know) — otherwise known as random, this would not help the case for free will as life would be just random, and this would also not grant human beings free will.   Just for the record I do not believe in true indeterminism or true randomness (quantum indeterminacy), but in case you do, it does not help rescue the case for free will.   I believe everything must have a cause.  Whether or not we can know the cause or pinpoint the cause is totally irrelevant.   Many times, there are just too many variables to accurately calculate or that the scale is just too small for us to know about.

These philosophers like Dan Dennett are called compatibilists because they believe there can still be free will in a deterministic universe.  But all they have done is change the definition of free will.  Their free will does not involve any actual freedom of choice.  They claim such things as a better education gives us “more free will.”  The philosopher Kant called compatibilism “a wretched subterfuge.”   Dan Dennett has also said that human beings have free will because they can avoid things and are incredibly good “avoiders.”  According to Dan Dennett (and his very faulty and incoherent logic), Google’s self-driving car has free will because it can avoid collisions.  Being able to avoid things is still entirely based on one’s personal causal history and one’s “programming.”
